We believe the performing arts elevate, entertain, and, most importantly, educate. Especially during these times, creating a way to produce high-quality performing arts events takes time, talent, and financial support.
Moreover, our commitment to education is a beacon of hope, creating avenues for students of all ages to experience the transformative power of the performing arts on learning. In December 2020, our Performing Arts Vocal Competition for Opera singers awarded almost $7,000 to young professionals, igniting their passion for the arts and supporting their educational journey. Our studios will be back the fall of 2025, offering classes in Drama, American Musical Theater, and Opera, continuing our mission to inspire and educate through the arts.
Over the past few years, we have seen our patron base grow steadily, and we have received donations totaling $30,000.00 from corporations and individuals. This growth and success are a testament to the integral role our audience plays in our mission. SAS has been recognized by the New Jersey Council of the Arts and the city of Newark, New Jersey, and we are committed to reaching out to our community to connect with a diverse audience, thanks to your continued support.

By supporting SAS Performing Arts, you will ensure that our mission continues, including our classes, workshops, and annual Vocal Competition. We are honored to say that our 2024 winner, Mezzo Soprano Sadie Cheslak, captured first place in the Metropolitan Opera's Laffont Competition. Ticket sales for our theatrical and musical performance offerings cover only a portion of our expenses. It is your generosity that provides the rest.
