This program will benefit all performers, regardless of the level of expertise, and further the artist's education and development.
Features of the ROLE SUMMER OPERA PROGRAM:
Coaching
Specialized sessions with language, text, musicality, and acting. Overall, we will help you improve the details, big and small, that make you stand out and be noticed, so you feel ready in every way.
Performance Opportunities
You will perform a fully staged role with orchestra. Each production brings together a concert staging, with minimal sets and costumes, for a complete experience. Singers are assigned either a full role or a cover role, with only one cover per role. Covers also get a special staged open rehearsal performance with piano.
Voice Lessons with Faculty Members
Take private lessons with experienced faculty. You can work on your audition materials, study new and old roles, and experiment with ideas to help you grow as an artist. Most importantly, you’ll build your personal network, develop your vocal artistry, and feel prepared for audition and performance opportunities.
Master Classes
Our master classes are taught by conductors, directors, well-known voice teachers, and opera professionals. Past master teachers have included KS Tichina Vaughn, Dramatic Soprano Luana DeVol, and Metropolitan Opera legend Soprano Isola Jones.
