American Musical Theatre Workshop
This workshop introduces our participants to the foundational techniques and comprehensive disciplines required for interpreting the musical theatre song repertoire. It is designed to provide exposure to the many layers of a lyric, the musical score and style, and character analysis necessary for the successful interpretation by the performer.
The workshop includes:
Intensive study (with piano) of repertoire selected from one of the American Musical Theatre canon of composers and lyricists. Our first workshop will be focused on the music and lyrics of Jerry Herman.
workshop performance of SHOWTUNES a revue of his works including excerpts from Hello Dolly!, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, Mack and Mable, and Dear World.
each participant is assigned a role in the revue.
Repertory is carefully selected based on voice type and experience level.
Workshop ends in performances.

The participants obligation is for the full time period of the workshop. All payments for workshops are non-refundable except in the event of a workshop cancellation.
If you need to cancel a workshop or workshop session, for any reason, you must notify us by email no later than one week before the workshop or workshops session is scheduled. If you discontinue any workshop before the ending date of the session, you forfeit the deposit amount.
